What can I expect on my first visit?

As a new patient, we will conduct an examination, take necessary x-rays, complete a diagnosis and provide a comprehensive treatment plan for you.

Can I just have a simple cleaning if my doctor tells me I have periodontal disease?

Periodontal disease is a progressive disease, and if left untreated, may result in bleeding, irritated gums and loss of teeth. A simple cleaning therefore is not appropriate until the disease is treated.

What are Sealants?

Your child may have deep grooves in the chewing surfaces of his/her molars. Sealants are used to help prevent food from getting caught in the grooves causing decay. Sealants may wear and need replacement but are usually less expensive-and painless- than having a cavity filled.

What is a Crown?

Your dentist makes the determination which crown is best for your situation. The process of making a crown is a multi step procedure and is usually done in two appointments.
